The fifth report of the Education and Skills Select Committee argued for the introduction of a systematic process of exit interviews when teachers resign, 'to ensure that heads and other managers know why people are resigning and perhaps provide the opportunity for solutions to be found to any problems which may be encouraging a teacher to leave.'
